Besides picking good days, tradition also avoids certain lunar days for major tasks.

Tam Nuong days

Each lunar month has six: the 3rd, 7th, 13th, 18th, 22nd, 27th — days said to invite setbacks, so weddings, groundbreaking and long trips are avoided.

Nguyet Ky days

The 5th, 14th, 23rd (their digits all sum to 5) — also avoided for big undertakings.
